In 2011 Cole was drafted by the New York Mets in the 7th round 222 overall in Major League Baseball's First Year Player Draft.Cole played 5 seasons with the team. Cole took down awards such as New York Pen League player of the week in 2012 and played for the 2013 South Atlantic League Championship team. After the 2014 season Cole retired from baseball to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a professional outdoorsman. As a professional Fishing Instructor, Cole has become a well-known and respected throughout the greater Dickinson area. Cole has been fishing since he knew how to walk and has developed his own unique and effective teaching methods.
